Together with the City of Saarbrücken's Department of Culture, represented by Stadtgalerie Saarbrücken and Schulkultur, arcs audio has realised several extracurricular art projects in Saarbrücken primary schools since 2022. The focus has been on current topics and the thematic orientation of the Stadtgalerie, which has been working towards a desirable future since 2021.
So that children and young people can help shape the cultural life of the city.
Sound and image exhibition in the Hauberisser Saal in Saabrücken Town Hall, duration: 03 May to 02 June 2023
For the project "The green bookworm - children's drawings for a more righteous future", class 3.1 of the Grundschule Ost primary school created a sound and image installation on the topic of "Climate change and climate justice" for the Hauberisser Saal in Saarbrücken town hall. The pupils chose a book from the city library and drew a picture related to it.
In short interviews, the children spoke about their book selection and their artistic work. The exhibition was on display from May to June 2023 in the Hauberisser Saal in Saarbrücken Town Hall. The project then travelled to the Grundschule Ost primary school and the Saarbrücken City Library.

For this project, the pupils in class 4.1 at Eschberg primary school addressed the following questions: What could our world look like in the future? What kind of world do I want to live in? The children designed dreams for the future in the form of 21 clouds.
The pupils also recorded personal texts about their dreams, which were played as soundtracks in the exhibition. This allowed visitors to immerse themselves audiovisually in the dreams of the class. The exhibition project offered the pupils a platform to make their dreams for a fairer future accessible to a broad public right in the heart of the city of Saarbrücken.
The pupils of class 4.1 of Eschberg primary school designed posters with slogans and images for a fairer future for the advertising pillars of the city of Saarbrücken: What is my message to the world? What thought-provoking impulse would I like to give the citizens of Saarbrücken?
The project gave the children's voices and ideas a place in public space, allowing them to play an active role in shaping their city. The posters were on display in the city from February to April 2023.
